We are proud of our family and how Summerset Boat Lifts has grown over the years. Learn what makes our boat lift company different and why you should trust your investment to a Summerset lift!

Lake of the Ozarks is well-known as one of the premier vacation and second home destinations in the Midwest with boating, lodging, golfing, great entertainment and restaurants that feature the best sunsets …which is how it all started for us. In the 1970s, our family was in the same position many of you are now – we were the ones travelling to the Lake most weekends to relax. Joining family and friends by the Lake to watch the amazing summer sunsets – we liked it here so much that we purchased property and built our resort, Summerset Inn, starting in 1971. We expanded our business in 1982, by opening our second venue, Summerset Boat Lifts.

We pride ourselves in service, and it’s what sets us apart from everyone else. As a dealer for Galva-Hoist, Summerset Boat Lifts employs personnel for all aspects of the boat lift business — sales, shipping, assembly, installation and service are all provided by our own employees. We control our schedule to meet the needs of our customers. We want our customers to relax knowing their boat lift needs are being handled by professionals. Summerset’s record of service after the sale is unparallel in the boat lift industry. We don’t just sell you a lift, we sell you our service. Don’t worry that you’ve never operated a lift before! Our team will be on the dock with you as necessary for an orientation the first time you bring the boat to your dock. We train you how to operate the lift, but more importantly, teach you how to use it comfortably.

Our boat lifts are built with quality and longevity in mind. We understand your boat is one of your most valuable belongings and we're dedicated to keeping it safe all year long. The Cold Weather Is Upon Us....Is Your Dock, Boat, and Lift Prepared?

As the temps continue to drop in mid-Missouri, it's time to prepare your water toys for the winter season. While winterizing your boat is a common practice, taking the extra steps to ensure your dock and lift are ready for the freezing winter weather is important, as well. Our boat lift company at the Lake of the Ozarks knows how important it is to protect your lift year round to ensure it can properly lift your boat and keep it safe. Check out some tips for winterizing your boat, dock, and lift this fall!

Schedule Boat to be Winterized

Winterizing your boat and PWC is vital before it gets too cold. If fluids aren't properly drained from the vessel, the liquid could freeze and cause terminal damage to your engine or body. During the winterization process, all fluids will be drained from your vessel. This time of year is also a great opportunity to make any mechanical or cosmetic repairs. From buffing your paint to repairing a chip to breaking down the engine - winter is the best time to have these types of repairs completed since you likely aren't using your boat anyway!

Get Dock Ready for Cold Temps

Freezing temperatures and precipitation can be rough on a dock. If the water around your dock freezes, it can damage these tubs. Your dock being frozen in one place can be rough on the structure, especially on the catwalk and connection lines. If you have water lines ran to your dock, consider winterizing them. as well. Another way to prepare your dock for winter is to ensure all the bracing and structure is sound and ready for the potential weight of ice and snow. The lake level typically drops this time of year, which can cause your dock to sit on dry land. In addition to being dry docked causing potential damage, the sharp rocks and tree branches in the lake can puncture these flotation devices, as well.

Inspect Boat Lift

Even when you aren't thinking about your lift in the cold of winter, it is working hard! Not only does it hold your boat out of the water, but it also protects it from the harsh winter weather. Up on a lift is a safe place for your boat - as long as your lift is in good working order. This time of year is a great opportunity to ensure your lift fittings and bracing are all in place and tight. This is an important step as you get your lift ready for winter - especially if your boat is being stored up on a lift. The last thing you want is to find your boat in the water when checking on your dock this winter!

Schedule Boat Lift Check

While you're preparing your summer toys for the off season, it's a great time to have your boat lift maintenanced at the Lake of the Ozarks. Having a professional check over your lift can help ensure it is in good working order to protect your investment all winter long. Give our Summerset Boat Lifts crew a call and one of our maintenance members will be on your dock for a boat lift inspection at the Lake of the Ozarks before you know it!

Boat Lifts for All Size Boats & PWCs

A boat lift can keep your vessel safe all year long. From keeping your boat from bouncing around on the rough water during the summer and protecting your boat from the potential damage of freezing water during the winter, there are a ton of perks of storing your boat on a lift. Having the right size lift is vital for optimum protection. Check out the various sizes we have available for PWC and boat lifts at the Lake of the Ozarks

PWC Lifts

We offer four styles of PWC lifts at the Lake of the Ozarks -- side-mount, Permaport, single front-mount, and double front-mount. The side mount PWC lift is ideal for those looking to save space, as the footprint on the dock is only 5 1/2 feet instead of 11 feet. The flagship of our PWC line, the poly tank front-mount unit is quite capable of withstanding any water conditions. The single-tank by design will hold your watercraft higher out of the water than a double-tank would. The double is an extension of our popular single tank design. The permaport option is a floating platform style of lift that keeps the PWC out of the water while maintaining a low profile to the water.

6,500-10,000 LB Lifts

These lifts are an ideal capacity for almost every tritoon on the Lake of the Ozarks. The mechanism and structure of the lift are well-suited for the rough waters that our lake has to offer during the busy summer months. This lift is also a great option for some bow-riders and helps to keep them safe and protected.

12,000-17,000 LB Lifts

The structure and mechanics of this line of boats is similar but the added featured and stability as the size and weight of your boat increases is impressive. Many larger bow-riders, speed boats, and mid grade cruisers fit well on this type of lift. Find the lift with the rights stability ratings for your vessel. You can even choose to back in with the extra deep clearance these lifts offer. The possibilities are endless with this lift!

20,000 LB & Bigger Lifts

Suited for many 37-41 foot day cruisers, this lift range features dissipate the weight of the boat over many points on the lift and dock. Larger lifts can be custom built just for your boat! Your exquisite taste in big boats demands the best in boat lifts.
