4 Things to Do For Memorial Day Weekend on the Lake

There's no better way to spend a long, holiday weekend than hitting the water at the Lake of the Ozarks! Today's blog from Summerset Boat Lifts offers a few ways for you to kick off the summer season at the Lake:

1. Boating and Watersports.

Whether you're visiting the lake for a long weekend or a whole week during the summer, the boating and watersports activities are endless. If you don't have a boat, you can easily rent one from a variety of places on the lake. If you have a boat, but don't have any inflatables, skis, etc. you can rent those too! Memorial Day Weekend at the Lake of the Ozarks just wouldn't be complete without spending some time out on the water either swimming, boating, fishing, skiing, tubing or more!

2. Waterfront Dining.

With the summer season underway, all the best waterfront restaurants and bars at the Lake of the Ozarks are back open! Several places have even put in new lakeside swimming pools and swim up bars. Drive your boat on up to the dock and cool off from a long day on the water with a delicious rum runner - or grab a bite to eat. Your choices for dining on the water range from sandwiches and wraps to seafood and steaks. There's something for everyone in your group to enjoy!

3. Live Music and Concerts.

While you're able to find live music at a variety of waterfront venues throughout the summer season, Memorial Day Weekend will feature several great shows! The M80s will be at Larry's on the Lake Friday and Saturday night, starting at 7pm both nights. Over at the Horny Toad you'll find Contagious & State Line Drive, starting at 9pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday!

4. Fireworks.

A Memorial Day Weekend tradition you won't want to miss is fireworks over the beautiful lake! All weekend long you'll be able to experience firework displays across the Lake of the Ozarks. On Saturday night, you can view Bear Bottom Resort's fireworks at the 38 MM or the Inn at Grand Glaize's Show from the 1 MM of the Grand Glaize Arm. On Sunday night, you can view Tan-Tar-A's display at the 26 MM or The Lodge of Four Seasons' show at the 13 MM.

Summerset Boat Lifts hopes you have a happy and safe Memorial Day Weekend! With the holiday water traffic, it's important you make sure your boat lift is in proper working condition to keep your boat safe from the rough waters.
