About the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout
The Lake of the Ozarks Shootout is the largest unsanctioned boat race in the Midwest, with over 100 racers and 100,000 spectators! According to Powerboat Magazine, it's one of the nation's eight "must-see" boating events. The event will bring the top racers and offshore racing powerboats up to 244 MPH. The "Top Gun" in 2017 went to team American Ethanol with a stunning 204 mph on the new 3/4 mile Captain Ron's course! All the proceeds from the event will benefit the Lake Area Rescue Teams and other charitable organizations in the Lake area. Last year $200,000 was given to 28 different charities and 8 fire departments.
