Fall Big Bass Bash

The Big Bass Bash is a bass tournament designed for amateurs only. Its unique format allows the weekend angler a chance to win big money like the professionals. Unlike most fishing tournaments which have a team arrangement where prizes are based on total weight, the Big Bass Bash format is distinctive in that it only takes one fisherman just one big bass to win. Anglers can launch from anywhere on Lake of the Ozarks. The Big Bass Bash will have four weigh-in stations to accommodate the anglers: PB2 (Grand Glaize State Park), Red Oak Resort, Alhonna Resort, & Point Randall Resort.

Osage Beach Fishing Derby

Osage Beach City Park Lake Front

The Osage Beach Fishing Derby will be held on October 3, 2020 from 9AM-NOON. Come out to this completely free event to enjoy the morning fishing with family, chance to win prizes, and a hot dog lunch! The Fishing Derby will be held at the newly opened Osage Beach City Park fishing pond. The City Park fishing pond reopened to the public on June 1, 2019 after being closed since the summer of 2013 due to flood damage. There have been many repairs and additions including an emergency spillway, new flood gate, and in-house dredging -- all completed in spring of 2016. The pond was restocked with catfish and bluegill in fall of 2016 and largemouth bass in summer of 2017. Fishing was not permitted during this time to allow the fish to grow and spawn, all with direction from Missouri Department of Conservation. For more information, contact Parks and Recreation.

Ha Ha Tonka Springs Cove

The Mini-Shootout is where remote-control boats a fraction of the size of powerboats race at speeds in the triple digits! These races are thrilling to watch as the machines go faster than many of the big boats ten times their size at the Shootout! On August 21-23, Mini Shootout racers go head-to-head against each other, reaching speeds of over 100 mph in six different classes, with Splash Runs, Bracket Racing, Exhibition Races and Powder Puff Racing. Check out the schedule online for Class Runs, the Bounty Race and Top Gun racing times. Races are held in front of the Ha Ha Tonka Springs.

Friday – Meet and greet at Bridal Cave / Thunder Mountain Park.
