Spring Fishing Tournaments at the Lake of the Ozarks

The Lake of the Ozarks offers great fishing conditions almost year round, but some of the best fishing happens during the spring months. You'll find a variety of Lake of the Ozarks fishing tournaments to participate in throughout March and April. Keep reading to learn more about upcoming fishing tournaments.

Cabella's King Kat Fishing Tournament & Kids Fishing Rodeo - March 23-24


Registration will be on Friday, March 23rd from 5-7 pm at The Stables on Hwy 5 in Sunrise Beach. Anglers can fish from 6:30 am to 3 pm on Saturday. The weigh-in will start at 3 pm at Captain Ron's. The Kid's Fishing Rodeo will also be held at Captain Ron's. The children's event is free of charge and open to youth ages 12 and younger. Sign up is from 8-9 am, and equipment is not provided. Help a Child Charity Bass Fishing Tournament - March 24 


The 16th Annual "Help a Child" Fishing Tournament, with a $1500 grand prize payout, will be held on March 24th, launching out of The Club at Porto Cima. Porto Cima will host the dinner, auction and awards. Proceeds from the tournament, dinner and auction will go to support Missouri Baptist Children's home and Kids Against Hunger. Alhonna Early Bird Open Buddy Bass Tournament - March 24-25


Alhonna Resort's Annual Early Bird Open Buddy Bass Tournament is a 2-day bass tournament with 100% payback of all entry fees. The tournament hours are 7 AM to 4 PM on Saturday and 7 AM to 2 PM on Sunday. The tournament entry fee includes a complimentary breakfast at 6 AM each morning for tournament participants at Bobber's Restaurant located at Alhonna Resort. Twisted Cat Outdoors Catfish Tournament - April 8


The 2nd Annual Twisted Cat Outdoors Catfish Tournament comes to Central Missouri's Lake of the Ozarks on April 8th. This is the chance for amateur catfish anglers to test their skills on the lake. Registration will happen at Robin's Resort on Saturday from 4-6 pm or Sunday morning from 5:30 am to 7 am prior to the tournament. Bass Pro Shops Crappie Masters Tournament - April 14 


Bass Pro Shops Crappie Masters tournament trail comes to Lake of the Ozarks on April 14th. Sponsored by Bass Pro Shops, Tracker Marine, Humminbird, Minn Kota, Mercury Motors and Captain Ron’s on the lake the one day tournament will be a national qualifier for 2018 National Championship. Spring Big Bass Bash - April 21-22


The Big Bass Bash is a bass tournament designed for amateurs only. Its unique format allows the weekend angler a chance to win big money like the professionals. Unlike most fishing tournaments which have a team arrangement where prizes are based on total weight, the Big Bass Bash format is distinctive in that it only takes one fisherman just one big bass to win.
